Description: 3 glass facades for the theatre including 10 solar array panels
The Waterglass project is a world first for integrating art glass, photovoltaics and heat mirror technology, bringing it to the highest possible insulation values for glass. Within the transparent blue curtain, hundreds of embedded solar cells convert solar energy into useable energy for the Theatre.

This window was the first art glass in North America to have embedded working solar cells. I worked with Concordia University and Peters Studio in Paderborn to make this prototype for the Solar Decathlon in Washington, DC.

Description: Wind Tower featuring 12 solar art glass panels, solar storage, and LED lighting
The 40 foot high wind tower sits above a theology library at Regent College. Layers of symbols and technology create the glass: embedded solar cells, 12 dichroic glass crosses, the Lord’s Prayer in Aramaic, and a waterfall of light. At night, the surrounding park is illuminated by an LED column – light generated from the solar cells.

Location: Grass Valley Elementary School, Camas, WA
Description: 12 Main Entryway Stairwell Windows, embedded solar cells and solar LED fixture
This project was initiated by Portland architects who were designing a public elementary school that showcased green technologies. They wanted a clearly visible ‘teaching’ project that highlighted solar energy. The main staircase window of the school was a perfect location.
